Pr. Tirzah:
Doris Buttar
The characteristics I bring to this station are those of a caring, hardworking, individual. I empathise with the needy and make meals for the Salvation Army, once or twice a month.
I consider myself a teamplayer; A trusted confidant and a loyal friend that believes in the strength of people.
My philosophy is that “I must have an element of fun in whatever i do – i look for it…Sometimes we have to look for it.”
I look forward to my time as Badoura, receiving and inspecting nile candidates. I trust that the skills that I bring to this organization, will be beneficial in executing my duties. The vows that i took 22 years ago, as a newly initiated Daughter of the Nile continue to be relevant today.
Little Bit about Me:
I was born near London, ON and being adopted I had 3 full brother and a handful of half-siblings. After what seemed like a lifetime, I found another brother and half-sister.
I enjoy cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. I even square-dance three to four times per week.
I enjoy judging at Agricultural Fairs, I was at one point the Vice-President of the Ontario Provincial Association of 4H (Agricultures /Life Skills Program for rural youth). Receiving the top provincial award – “The Arborour Award”. This allows you to provide leadership opportunities for youth and adults.
My proudest accomplishment: I have been blessed with three children who have found life partners who continue to the foster the FAMILY FIRST philosophy together, along with my 8 grandchildren, we as a family, continue to model the significance of giving back to their family, community and their municipality.
Often it is the small beads, (ei, coaching athletic teams, or an act of sharing rides for other youth). This involvement makes it possible for those who cannot make it to be there and succeed.

Co-Port White Rose Nile Club member since 2001, and have served as President twice & even Secretary for a short while.
I joined Co-Port because my mother-in-law was close with PSQ Mildred Green, a member that started Co-Port White Rose. My mother-in-law was very active in Nile and made it seem interesting.
