“Coming together is a beginning.”

Welcome!!

Welcome to our Daughters of the Nile, Oronto Temple No. 69 website. Thank you for seeking us out. We are an organization of women dedicated to bettering ourselves and the world around us while having fun and making and keeping friendships along the way. We are an international organization with local Temples scattered throughout the United States, Canada, and Brazil.

Our organization was established in 1913 for social pleasure and intellectual benefit of our members, and for the purpose of elevating the standard of morality. In 1924 we began our mission of supporting the great philanthropy of Shriners Hospitals for Children®. We support the Hospitals and Health Initiatives of Shriners International by fundraising for our Daughters of the Nile Foundation and Canadian Foundation. We are very proud of the fact that through our non-profit charitable Foundations, to date we have worked together as volunteers and friends to give over $70 Million Dollars to the Shriners Children’s™.

Our Mission

The Daughters of the Nile is an international, fraternal organization committed to enhancing the lives of women of all ages by promoting lifelong friendships, character building, intellectual benefits, a commitment to serving others and a belief in the existence of a Supreme Being. The Daughters of the Nile accomplishes its mission through meaningful ritualistic ceremonies, by promoting and supporting the Supreme Temple and Subordinate Temples, and by contributing to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation and the Canadian Foundation, both of which benefit Shriners Children’s™. We are committed to fostering the belief in the Fatherhood of God and the Sisterhood of Women, and the desire to serve others.
