Her Majesty:
Nancy Benetton – Sampath
Currently, as Vice President for a leading travel trade media company in Canada, I oversee the company’s business development and media and communications efforts, ensuring that engaging and informative content is delivered to audiences across multiple platforms. In addition to this role, I am also an entrepreneur whose company has been recognized for storytelling in both video and media production. As a member of Daughters of the Nile Oronto Temple No. 69, I believe my experience in media and communications is valuable in helping to spread awareness about who and what Daughters of the Nile is all about – primarily the fact that we are an independent fraternal organization of dedicated, compassionate and diverse women with our own mission and values, despite sharing a common philanthropic mission with other affiliate bodies.
As a professional and volunteer, it is imperative that my values align. My core values include a commitment to service to help children and families in need. In my capacity as an elected officer, I am guided to always leave our temple better than when I arrived. My skills and resources enable me to promote fellowship and inclusion among our members, as well as work together to help the children. In addition, I’m committed to collaboration, transparency, communication, and continuous learning so I can contribute to the future success of our temple.
Little Bit about Me:
I was born and raised in beautiful British Columbia with an Italian heritage. I am a proud wife and mother of three wonderful children, including a 26-year-old son and 15-year-old twins. Our family has fraternal ties since 2000 including my husband who is a Past Master of Dufferin Daylight Lodge No. 570 in Thornhill, ON, and Daniel Hart Lodge in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean (under the Grand Lodge of England). A 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Royal Ark Mason, and Royal Ark Mariner, my husband is also a Rameses Shriner who served as an Ambassador at Large for three years. Our 26-year-old son is a Scottish Rite 14th Degree Grand Elect Perfect and Sublime Mason with the Toronto Grand Lodge of Perfection as well as a Shriner. In addition, our boy-girl twins have taken part in various fraternal and fundraising events, such as participating on floats at community parades.
I believe that the best things in life aren’t things, but experiences. With this in mind, I enjoy travelling, in addition to writing, cooking, and attempting to play golf.
